Since gay folks aren't entitled to the equal rights and benefits as heterosexuals (i.e. the right to marry), then I say they shouldn't have to pay equal taxes.

I propose a propsition be proposed to give gay folks a huge tax break. After all, why should gays pay as much as straight folks if we're not entitled to the same benefits?

I always wonder how in this country we can vote for a candidate who embraces change and love, and then we turn around and let bans be placed on same sex marriage. This is our failure. the time for us to act is now. Whe n we still have a change to stop the bans, and to stop the laws being put against the GLBT community.

There are a millions of ILLEGAL immigrants walking around the united states who have the right to marry each other here, in the untied states. we can go to war(but not tell anyone "what we are"), we vote, we pay taxes, we work, we're doctors, lawyers, politicians, housewives, househusbands ;) , animators, personalities, artists, musicians, WE ARE PEOPLE.

What does everyone else have that I don't, that they deserve the happiness and security of a marriage. I can have a ceremony. I want the same rights. The equality that is every American's birth right. I want what I deserve.

I am saddened by the outcome of Prop 8.  However, springing out of that sadness is a new determination to fight for the civil rights of all glbt people.  We may have lost this battle but we haven't lost the war.  We will fight on!
